Role
· Development and implementation of commercial project delivery in a conventional ‘Quantity Surveyor’ capacity.
· Preparing financial and/or operational analyses and reports
· Audits current projects to monitor and improve purchasing functions and ultimately margin delivery of efficiency of projects.
· Project support in the preparation of tenders for electrical HV/LV infrastructure projects.
· Provides
advice and assistance to Operations Director in planning,
implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations,
systems, and procedures
· Represents the organisation at various business meetings.
· Effective proactive liaison with operational departments re resourcing internally and externally.
· Provide
professional advice and commercial support to the other areas of the
business, including Utilities, Private Networks and Rail.
Qualifications:
· B.Sc in Quantity Surveying and or HND in Building Studies.
· Member of the RICS.
· Strong background in quantity surveying, and project management and estimating.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Knowledge of project finance, budgeting, cost estimating.
· Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Project.
· Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
· Ability to develop and prepare comprehensive financial analyses of projects.
· Knowledge of business practices and procedures.
· Knowledge of applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures within quantity surveying.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
